01Ride-booking template

Sutro

A ride-booking app for black car and chauffeur services.

Sutro is a complete template I built to show what a ride service app can be: an iPhone app for riders and a web dashboard for staff. Your version gets your name, your colors, and the features your business needs.

  • Rider iPhone app
  • Staff dashboard
  • Email sign-in
  • Hourly bookings
  • Email updates
  • Dispatch calendar

Sutro is a demo brand. Every name and booking shown is sample data.

01Booking

Pick a time first.

Riders choose a date and a 15-minute pickup slot. A minimum lead time is built in, so every ride arrives with notice.

02Vehicle

Choose the car.

Pickup and drop-off come from a place search. Each vehicle shows its capacity, amenities, and rate.

03Fare

See the price before you book.

The fare estimate and pickup time appear before anything is reserved. Notes like flight times travel with the ride.

04Recurring rides

Every ride in one list.

Upcoming rides, including weekly commutes, sit in one list. Riders can edit up to an hour before pickup, or cancel.

05Hourly

Book by the hour.

For multi-stop days, the chauffeur waits on standby. Riders pick the number of hours and see the rate upfront.

Staff dashboard

One dashboard for every client.

A web dashboard for dispatch staff. Search and sort every client by name, email, or phone. Riders get an email when a ride changes, and a calendar feed keeps dispatch in sync.

Booking flow

From open to reserved in seventeen seconds.

Pick a time. Choose pickup and drop-off. Select a vehicle. Review the fare. Reserve. Recorded from the Sutro template.

    Scope

We agree on what ships first, what it costs, and when it lands.

  2. 02

    Design

You see real screens before any code is written.

  3. 03

    Build

Regular test builds, so you try the app on your own phone as it grows.

  4. 04

    Launch

I submit to the App Store, handle review, and hand everything over.

05About

You work with the person who builds it.

I'm Armaan Ahmed. I study engineering at UVA and run Ahmed Labs, a one-person studio that ships production apps for real businesses.

I take a project from the first call to the App Store: product, design, the app, and the dashboard your staff use every day. You talk to me directly the whole way.
